Bruce Carty was born in Sacramento, California and is one of six children. He and his family lived in Elk Grove, CA for many years. While attending school in Elk Grove, Bruce developed his love and life long interest in sculpting.

In his early twenties while working full-time and going to college Bruce sold his first piece of work. While sculpting statues he also found the time to work as a General Contractor and sell Real Estate.

He has long since retired from General Contracting and Real Estate but works full-time at his true love; sculpting. He has been sculpting for over twenty-five years and is constantly working on finding ways to make each piece better than the piece before. Bruce's main focus is on"larger-than- life" cultured stone statues but will do smaller statues in bronze. He has sold his work from coast to coast.

Because of the love he has for his art Bruce plans on sculpting well into his later years and hopes that with his work he will be an inspiration.

Bruce works out of his home in Sloughhouse, Ca., where he lives with his wife and the youngest of his three sons.
